NAMI Indiana seeks workshop proposals for our 23rd annual NAMI Indiana Mental Health & Criminal Justice Summit on Friday, March 6, 2026. NAMI Indiana’s Mental Health and Criminal Justice Summit annually unite a diverse group of leaders in the criminal justice field to share knowledge and practical tools for professionals. This event serves as a catalyst for meaningful, positive change in Indiana's criminal justice policies.
We invite you to submit workshop proposals that foster mental health education, promote innovation, and are grounded in theory, research, and practice. Proposals should reflect the diverse perspectives and experiences within our mental health community.
Read the submission guidelines and submit your proposal for our 2025 Mental Health and Criminal Justice Summit. The deadline to submit your proposal is Sunday, November 23rd, 2025. Applicants will be notified by Friday, December 13th, 2025, regarding selection.
We seek proposals that align with the following tracks:
Pre-Case Filing Diversion Programs (for law enforcement/first responder utilization)
Local 911/988 Partnerships and/or Programs
Mental Health Programs in an Incarceration Setting (jail, prison, work release)
Pre-Trial Release Programs/Systems
Meeting the Needs of Justice-Involved Youth
Local Crisis Continuums of Care
Strengthening the Local Mental Health Workforce
Justice Reinvestment Advisory Committee (JRAC)
*Submissions are not limited to this list. We encourage creative and innovative submissions that highlight the work being done in Indiana's criminal justice and mental health sector.
