What Is Sharing Hope?
Lack of information surrounding mental health issues can prevent people in Black communities from getting the help and support they need.
Sharing Hope is a series of community conversations that utilize video prompts and written materials to explore the journey of mental health and wellness in Black communities through dialogue, storytelling, and a guided discussion on the following topics:
Youth and Mental Wellness: “How Do You Heal?”
Community Leaders and Mental Wellness: “The Art of Healing”
Black Families and Mental Wellness: “Smiling On Our Journey”
NAMI Indiana partners with Black led organizations to provide training and technical assistance on how to provide NAMI Sharing Hope in Black communities around the state.
NAMI Indiana provides a framework to begin holding conversations and destigmatizing mental health conditions. NAMI Sharing Hope allows organizations to present this information in a way that best suits your community.
